Ultimate Strategies for the New Teacher |
Goals of the program:
-To introduce new teachers to a variety of practical strategies that they can use in their classrooms.
-To provide an opportunity for new teachers to ask questions and network with each other.
Topics to be addressed in the workshop:
-The topics include: managing the environment, managing behaviour, organizing for planning, using the curriculum, assessment, evaluation and reporting, and taking care of yourself.
-The workshop will promote: managing the classroom effectively, thinking proactively, and using time wisely.
Who can attend? Teachers in their first 5 years
Session Date/Time: December 9th, 2009
Breakfast: 8:30 a.m.; Session 9:00 ? 3:00 p.m.
Session Location: The Educators' Centre, 6435 Edwards Blvd.
How do I register?: Click on the"Register Now" button and complete the application form. Occasional teacher costs for the day are covered by PETL upon application approval.
