Keynote Speaker - Michele Landsberg
Michele Landsberg is known as one of Canada's most tireless and effective social justice activists. She is a champion of human rights ? particularly women's rights. Michele brings her incomparable experience and insight to audiences, and challenges them to explore the potential for human progress.
Cost: $10 for First Year PETL Members, $20 for PETL Members, and $40 for non-PETL Members.

The Susan Hare Key Teacher Award and the Marilyn Lennox Memorial Award will be presented at the dinner.
Sue Hare Key Teacher Award

The Susan Hare Key Teacher Award was established in 1996 to honour Sue Hare, a Peel Teacher, who passed away in May 1995 after over 25 years of service to the Peel Board of Education and the Peel Women Teachers' Association. Sue was involved with the Peel Women Teachers' Association in many capacities, as Key Teacher and as a member of the Executive. Over the years, Sue was Legislation Convener, Second Vice-President, and Spring Assembly and Annual Meeting Delegate. Sue always approached her duties with dedication, enthusiasm and humour. She inspired similar feelings in her colleagues, and during her career, Sue encouraged many women to participate in the work of their Federation.
This award will consist of a key-shaped charm on a chain and a personal plaque. The Award winner's name will also be engraved on an office plaque located in the Peel Local's office.
The Marilyn Lennox Memorial Award

The Marilyn Lennox Memorial Award was established in 1992 to honour Marilyn Lennox, a classroom teacher and resource teacher who passed away in August 1992 after many years of service to the Peel Board of Education and the Peel Women Teachers' Association.
The award is given to a female member of the PETL who best reflects the qualities which Marilyn demonstrated during her teaching career. A team player, she was devoted to personal growth in both her students and colleagues. Marilyn was a dedicated, unassuming, caring, positive, professional, hard-working, supportive, altruistic woman.
The award consists of $200, a personalized plaque, and the placement of the name of the award winner on a wall plaque in the PETL office.
