CBC television is broadcasting this aboriginal series which aims to dispel many of the misconceptions and negative stereotypes held about First Nations people by average Canadians. The first two episodes can be viewed at http://bit.ly/yEUZOw.
The third episode ,”Whose land is it anyway?”, airs tonight and Friday.
The title of the series, "8th Fire", draws from the Anishinaabe prophecy that declares now is the time for the Aboriginal peoples and the settler community to come together to build the "8th Fire" of justice and harmony.
