Dear Member,

ETFO is pursuing a multi-year strategy to address violence in schools. This fall, ETFO is working with national research firm Stratcom (Strategic Communications Inc.) to better understand the significance and scope of workplace violence, and the procedures and policies in place to deal with workplace violence.

Beginning tomorrow - October 20 - until mid-November, ETFO will be conducting an online survey to get your feedback about workplace violence.

On Friday October 20, or shortly after, you will receive an email from Stratcom with the subject line: ETFO All-Member Workplace Violence Survey. The email will come from the email address surveys@stratresearch.ca with the sender name Stratcom. This email will invite you to participate in the survey, and will provide you with a personalized link to access the survey. If you do not receive a link, please check your spam folders. If you do not find an invite in your inbox or spam folder, or you have other questions about the survey, you can contact the research team at Stratcom (surveys@stratcom.ca).

ETFO will receive the survey results in aggregate tabular form only, meaning that your individual responses will remain anonymous and will not be reported back to ETFO. Only a small team of professional researchers at Stratcom will have access to individual responses. Stratcom is bound by federal privacy rules, regulations and standards imposed by PIPEDA, and the market research industry association - MRIA.

We need to know your opinions and experiences. Please participate - and urge your colleagues to participate - so that ETFO can continue to take action on workplace violence.

Thank you in advance for your co-operation.

Sincerely,

Sam Hammond, President
