- effective July 1, 2010, members are eligible for AQ Course funding once every 2 years (e.g., If a member is granted $400 in 2010-2011, they would be eligible for AQ funding again in 2012-13, providing funds are available);
- effective July 1, 2010,, members must ensure that the AQ application form is received by the PETL Office at least 10 school days prior to the beginning of the course to be eligible for funding; applications will be accepted on a first-come first serve basis; applications will not be accepted at the Local office during the summer;Â
- members can apply to the fund even before their registration has been confirmed by the course provider;
- members are not eligible to receive both AQ funding and regular PETL PD funding in the same year (July 1, 2010 – June 30, 2011);
- funds available for AQ courses will be divided up into each AQ term (Summer 40% – taking place in July and/or August; Fall 30% – taking place between September and December; Winter/Spring 30 % – taking place between January and June);
- effective July 1, 2010,members are eligible for AQ or PD funding while they are on-leave.Â
  The PD funding guidelines are:
- effective July 1, 2010, members are eligible for $400 towards the cost of a conference and up to two (2) Occasional Teacher days while funds are available;
- Effective July 1, 2010, all applications must be received at the PETL Office at least 10 school days prior to the conference. Applications will not be accepted at the Local office during the summer;
- members must apply to STPDL. Although it is preferable that members apply to STPDL first, members may apply to both funds at the same time if the conference is occurring in fewer than 6 weeks. If STPDL has been accessed earlier in the 2010-2011 school year, please attach a copy of the approved STPDL form. STPDL is first payer on reimbursements;
- please note that Board mandated initiatives (e.g., Schools Attuned) are not eligible for PETL funds. Other teacher-directed PD offered by the Board (e.g., Annual Psychology Conference, Who Me a Leader", and effective July 1, 2010 "In the VP Chair") is eligible;
- effective July 1, 2010, all members are eligible for AQ or PD funding while they are on-leave.
